About IP Optical Networks Our IP/Optical Networks business group (ION) includes IP, optical and network automation technologies and related services sold to our communication service provider customers as well as adjacent markets including webscale companies and enterprises. Job Description Senior Network Automation Engineer Goal: Build the regional Customer Engineering (CE) network automation center of excellence Support regional scripting/automation for network deployment and audit Become a GOTO engineer for all automation needs with regional/global exposure HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN Responsibilities: Build software development environment or knowledgeable with GIT and software versioning principle Learn networking technologies and familiarize with SROS configuration Develop the network automation tools and deploy them to the Customer Engineering (CE) team Perform requirements designation and importance analysis; perform verifiability analysis; perform risk analysis. Perform Use Case Analysis, scenario determination and develop sequence diagrams to support the requirements analysis, architecture & high-level design activities. Create software architecture/description document and user guides Maintain Requirements & Design traceability. Maintain traceability between requirement sets (Customer, System, Subsystems and System Elements), maintain traceability to architecture and design documents; support traceability to verification activities. Procude working network automation tools Produce software architecture/description and user guide Configure test bed and develop the network automation tools Deliver workshop/training how to the created tools KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Qualifications Skills : Bachelor in Engineering or computer science with 7 years plus software development experience. Knowledgeable in Unix environment as "admin/root" user familiar with Unix services: DNS, NFS, SSH, FTP, DHCP, etc. Knowledgeable on Virtualization/KVM, Container/Docker, NVF and related technologies. Knowledgeable in networking L2 and L3 on switch and router Have a good or excellent interpersonal skills and able to work as a team Knowledgeable on Network Management Systems, networking concepts and related technologies Knowing NBI/SBI prototocols, such as CLI, SNMP, REST API, gRPC, NETCONF/RESTCONF are a plus. Must be "hands-on" (love to get hands dirty) Knowledgeable on service provider deployment/operation, working on switches and routers are a plus Having a Nokia/Cisco/Juniper network certification is a plus Willing and keen to learn new things Experience: Experience in design/implement/deploy a software Strong Linux/Unix shell and datacenter networking knowledge Hands-on experience including design, build, deploy, debug or trouble-shooting & fault-finding, etc. Technologies/Products: Nokia IP Router portfolio - 7x50 XRS/SR/ESS/SRa and 7705/7210 portfolio Nokia EPC/CPC portfolio - SGW, PGW, MME, SGSN and vEPC VMWare ESXi, vCloud/vCenter, OpenStack, CloudStack, OpenFlow, KVM, Xen, Hyper-V Social Skills (behavior, attitude, language knowledge, …) :
