O bjecti v es of t h e P osi t ion: This role performs the operations of Information System infrastructure services for a BASF site as member of the Regional Infrastructure Services (GDA/CA) unit. It is a technical & coordination support position in the Information Services (IS) Infrastructure department, working in concert with other Information System infrastructure departments and external providers to deliver mission critical services to a BASF site. M ain Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities: Coordinate local On-site activities in the site in support of Service Level Agreements, of internal teams and external providers, for daily infrastructure services, related to Workplace support, Network support and Server support. Is the Local contact for Information System service providers. Provide first level support/consultation SAP/SAP4HANA for daily business operations. Oversee SAP support activity / project and proactively coordinate between support group and stakeholder. Operate all local specific solutions, services and specialties installed in the site. Includes: Preparation of all requests for local solutions, VIP support, etc. Perform administration tasks eg. Gatekeeper approval, raising purchase requisitions, website administration. Disseminate Information System-related information or knowledge eg. Frequently Ask Questions, local-friendly manuals, roadshows, etc to promote user computing productivity. Perform the required local tasks for implementations (and rollouts) of change requests and projects in the site. Perform resolution activities for all service, incident and problem escalations arising in the site. Works closely with the respective teams to bring about timely communication, restoration and closure. Trigger further escalations, where required. Perform data update and maintenance such that data pertaining to all locally installed Information System *assets in the site is timely updated in the BASF global asset databases, and that usage statistics are accurately reported as required. (*refers to all hardware, software licenses, warranties, maintenance, service agreements, etc). Support infrastructure service and solution content expert(s) for the purpose of enhancing user support and for the designing of effective, fit-for-Asia Pacific-purpose Information System infrastructure solutions and services. Operate the following "Information System Security on the ground" topics arising in the site: Administer Physical security access controls of local Information System assets. Support Security alerts, Responses and Reporting. Contact person for local security audits of Information System standard services. Inform to Team Lead where there are demands for local specific security measures, solutions and services. Is the Named Information System Infrastruture Contact for local site Business Continuity Plan implementations. Support the annual Hardware Investment planning for existing "BAU" hardware in the legal entities in the country / site. Testing new technology and support local, regional as well as global project. Strong background problem solving and analytical skills. Co-develop the digitalization strategy of the region & support digitalization initiative. Job Requirements: University Degree or Diploma in Management Information System, Computer Science, Business Administration or related discipline. 4+ years of information technology experience required. Some experience in supporting the delivery of information services or supporting projects in a mid-/large-sized company. Good understanding of existing and emerging information technology systems. Good interpersonal and communication skills; with good English skills to communicate verbally and in writing. Good customer service and communication skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure. Must possess the ability to identify problems, implement corrective action efficiently and effectively, in coordination and cooperation with global Information System. Must be able to work independently, relying on interpersonal skills and experience to perform the requirements of the position without the benefit of "solid line" reporting relationships. Individual must have good follow-through abilities. In depth understanding of diverse computer system and networks. Experienced in Business Transformation/ Digitalization. Preferred to have experience with Microsoft Power platform e.g., PowerApps, Power Automate, etc. Understanding on data Integration concepts with Finance, Sales and Distribution, Operations, Quality and Plant Management for SAP Material Master, Bill of Materials, Routing, Recipes and Inventory Management. Good understanding on SAP/SAP4HANA system operation is preferred.
