**About the role**:
The purpose of this role is to deliver:

- key strategic initiatives focused on delivering measurable value to customers and sustainable revenue
- development of differentiated offerings and proposals to be included for our significant account tenders
- internal and external technical training programs and knowledge management
- developing, tracking, reporting & supporting/executing differentiation and new technology pipelines and technical value delivery projects for the region

Rosters are flexible and will be based in either Manila, Jakarta or Hyderabad, depending on successful applicant's home country.

**What you will be doing**:
This role is accountable for delivering:
Safety Leadership - As a technical leader within their specified region, this role will:

- Adhere to Orica Safe Operating Procedures & champion SHE initiatives relating to Technical Services (TS) and blasting related risk assessment and significant incident remediation/investigation

Strategic initiatives, project management and delivery support for technical value adding customer initiatives and differentiation/ new technology project pipelines prioritised with the Senior Commercial Manager (SCM) and regions:

- Identify customer needs and customer value from our initiatives including running internal and external customer forums
- Develop tailored solutions and define value to customers and Orica
- Project management across specified region, including planning, monitor progress, measure benefits and report on assigned initiatives
- Monitor technical project pipeline between regions to enable prioritisation of workload and ensure focus on key strategic target projects
- Provide high level technical support and advice to infield business teams including project management, risk assessments, blast designs, modelling, project execution
- Measure, report and communicate (case studies/technical papers etc.) value & benefit delivered to customers associated with Orica technical projects
- Assist in the development of technology associated value-based proposals
- Assist TS teams in the training, implementation and value definition of new technologies and solutions to Orica customer sites including BlastIQ, WebGen / EBS, Next Generation Bulk, BM7 & GroundProbe

Support to Business Development Manager (BDM)/Leads, ABMs and Territory Managers in winning Greenfield, Competitor held or Significant Accounts:

- Manage customer forums, drill and blast studies, baselining and identification of customer Value Drivers
- Monitor Business Development pipeline between regions to enable prioritisation of workload and ensure focus on key strategic target customers
- Identify opportunities for providing differentiated offerings leveraging Orica's technology, services and know-how
- Develop Technical Method Statements for key tender responses & present value adding offerings to customers

Technical Leadership in Supporting Business:

- Provide high level technical input into new product, technologies & service offerings e.g. customer needs, UNS, value to customers, benefit measurement systems
- Support to Business Development Manager/Leads, ABMs and Territory Managers with customer meetings and forums
- Manage key stakeholder relationships with Technology Managers, Consultants, Research Organisations, Technology Providers and Universities
- Assist with development and maintenance of SEB course content and assist with delivery of advanced SEB blasting courses in areas of expertise

Coaching and Mentoring Technical Services personnel:

- Coaching and supporting technical services personnel within specified region
- Develop and deliver technical skills development programs e.g. TS Masterclass, TS conference/Bootcamp
- Establish Technical Services networks across specified region and assist the Technical Services Steering Team as required

**What you will bring**:

- Project Management experience
- Advanced Blast Execution
- Technical writing and presentation skills
- Mining Engineer or similar with 10 + years industry experience
- Strong written and verbal communication
