Job Description Position: Shift Supervisor - Australian Embassy, Jakarta Location : Jakarta, Indonesia

Role The Shift Supervisor (SS) is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operational activities of the Security Operations Centre (SOC). This includes:
Providing advice to Service Provider Personnel, contractors, and other stakeholders on a wide range of security issues and processes in accordance with approved security policies, plans and procedures Conduct of Embassy specific training of the Security Guard Force including managing the guard induction program, training on use of security equipment, developing and exercising of guarding SOPs Respond to, manage, and document notifiable incidents Manage access control, including for visitors and events Oversee effective operation of physical and electronic security measures including but not limited to CCTV, electronic access control systems and alarms Undertake security compliance activities including after-hours checks and inspections of Embassy security infrastructure Contribute to the development of security policies, Plans and operating procedures Maintain logs related to SOC functions as well as maintenance and repair records Undertake security related administrative tasks, and Work in a rotational 24/7 SOC environment. Skills and Experience The SS must have:
Previous experience in a supervisory/management role Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills Solid knowledge of security risk management principles and terminology to work competently within security risk management Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Experience working in a high tempo, dynamic and challenging environment, and Willing to work on a 24/7 rostered work pattern.
The SS must not have a criminal record and must not have been dishonourably discharged from service or convicted under the Defence Force Discipline Act (1982) (or equivalent) or terminated from employment in a similar role.
Desirable Desirable skills and experience of the SS include:
Previous experience working in a diplomatic environment Previous experience in a similar capacity Previous relevant experience in the public or private sectors, military or law enforcement experience of not less than five (5) years with an excellent record of conduct Trained in first aid as a minimum to HLTAID006 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or upgraded to TAE40116), and Working knowledge of the local language.
