**O**bjecti**v**es of t**h**e **P**osi**t**ion**
- This position is responsible and accountable to ensure zero accidents and a safe working environment at all times and optimizing resources and cost for high quality deliverables and efficiently run the EHS site organizations thru formulating, developing, implementing, documenting, reporting and monitoring effective and efficient environment, health, safety, and security requirements, compliance with Country/Local Regulation and guidelines under local regulations and BASF Responsible Care Management System (RCMS) as well as support business operation with the applicable EHS certification in which PT BASF Indonesia, Cengkareng Site (A-EDA) registered, for instance but not limited to ISO 140001, KNRCI, etc.
- This position will also hold a responsibility and accountability within the country for formulating, developing, implementing, documenting, reporting and monitoring effective and efficient occupational safety program, systems and processes, including training and coaching for Hazard Identification under RCMS Audit Protocol.
**M**ain** Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities**
**1. Compliance and License to Operate**
- Stay updated on government policies, regulations, and initiatives that impact the site's operations.
- Assist the Site Management for complying all applicable national, regional and local EHS legal regulations, as well as BASF requirements.
**2. Implementation of EHS and Security Management System**
- Collaborate with the employees and head of departments on the implementation and improvement actions in their work processes/areas to meet EHS and Security standards established according to the applicable company EHS and Security regulations and requirements.
- Collaborate with the employees and head of departments to identify and correct potential safety, health and environmental hazards according to applicable company EHS regulations and standards so as to recommend actions to support meeting the EHS requirements.
- Assist in reviewing new/existing equipment, processes for potential hazards via studying the work and EHS requirements to identify conflicting technical objectives, unsuitability of standard procedures, etc. Provides initial recommendation to the parties involved on modification needed.
- Establish and maintain a documentation system to keep company, corporate and mandatory EHS rules/regulations, communication materials, inspection, and audit reports/materials, etc to ensure that the major activities are properly documented according to needs.
- Appointed as internal auditor of the company for QEHS Management System.
**3. EHS Training Program**
- Set-up training/education need analysis via interviews/questionnaire as defined by the supervisor and consolidate feedback/inquiries to propose schedules, programs and target groups to help strengthen the employees' awareness on EHS. May need to conduct training/workshop, seminars via material preparation, data collection, etc.
- Supervise the process to organize the education/training programs to ensure the delivery and follow-up on the course evaluations to help decision-making on the use of such program.
- Supervise the regular fire brigade, Hazmat team training and request improvements if necessary and takes care the fire equipment on the required technical level.
**4. Monitoring EHS Performance**
- Interpret the defined EHS & RC® regulations and recommend priorities and actions for improvement, including developing safe work practices and measures with the head of departments to monitor conformance through EHS inspections, EHS meeting and EHS training in their respective work areas.
- Organize the audits of EHS performance with the necessary BASF or external partners and consolidate/summarize the performance reports in order to ensure the correct and consistent implementation of the EHS requirements/regulations, and alert line management the detected problem areas.
- Supervise and monitor the air monitoring at workplace and emission (air, solid waste, noise) of the site and comply with environmental reporting to government.
- Monitor EHS performance (leading and Lagging KPI) and collaborate with other departments to achieve site EHS target/Objectives
**5. Incident and Emergency Management**
- Make sure that all work-related incidents are reported and investigated in accordance with the requirements set by BASF.
- Ensure that the individuals involved in incident investigation possess the necessary skills and qualifications.
- Monitor the implementation of preventive or corrective actions as outlined in the incident investigation process.
- Establish Site Emergency Plan in all identified emergency scenarios and conduct drill according to those scenarios.
- Manage and coordinate Site Emergency Response Team, including conduct regular training for SERT and SIMT team.
**6. Information Protection**
- As Site Information Protection Officer (Site IPO) who acts as point of con
