**Job Description**:
We are seeking an experienced Software Tester with expertise in security testing to join our team. As a Software Tester specializing in security, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and security of our software products through rigorous testing, vulnerability assessments, and analysis.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and execute comprehensive security test plans, test cases, and test scripts to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and code reviews to identify and remediate security flaws.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand product requirements and ensure adequate security testing coverage.
- Identify, document, and report security-related defects and issues found during testing.
- Stay up to date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
- Implement security testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that security issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Participate in the design and development of secure testing processes, methodologies, and standards.
- Mentor junior members of the testing team and assist with their professional development.
- Continuously improve security testing processes and techniques to ensure high quality and secure software delivery.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on security testing
- Strong knowledge of security testing methodologies and tools, such as OWASP, SANS, or NIST standards
- Experience with penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, or similar
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and techniques.
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices and common security vulnerabilities
- Experience with secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes
- Knowledge of compliance standards such as ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, or HIPAA
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyse and interpret complex software systems from a security perspective.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide junior team members.
