Job Responsibility Sticker Wrap Applicator: Job Description A Vinyl Sticker Wrap Applicator places decal wraps of advertisements (branding/rebranding), logos, images and designs on vinyl or other wrap materials and places them on the external metal surfaces of industrial mechanical and electrical products to improve product presentation and brand recognition.
The duties in this role include cleaning the metal surfaces before vinyl application before any installation, cutting the vinyl decal wraps to fit the products being wrapped, and placing the wraps in the proper place, and ensuring they are secure without any bubbles or peeling. Pre-printed labels must also be applied containing product information. These processes are then followed placing the products into the correct packaging ready for shipping to customers.
Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for preparing surfaces of the products or vehicles to be wrapped. Apply vinyl decals to the products as required. Receive instructions from supply chain administration for the products to be wrapped and the decal wrap to be applied. Report to management as necessary to ensure jobs are planned and completed on time, to the required standards and to ensure customer satisfaction. Submit tool and stock requisitions in time, avoiding 'out of stock' situations. Adhere to approved application processes. Perform quality control checks throughout the application process. Ensure the use and maintenance of all tools/equipment to comply with safe and efficient performance. Maintain a good working relationship with other staff members. Qualifications: At least 2-years of experience as a decal wrap applicator using vinyl or other suitable materials. Have prior knowledge of vinyl and signage fabrication and installation, including vehicle wraps. Basic skill of dismantling basic metal body parts to ensure decal wraps are applied fully including around edges and joints. Great attention to detail and accuracy. Exhibit the personal drive to achieve high standards of workmanship. Basic physical fitness as manual handling is an integral part of the role. A team player with good time management and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
