EY Strategy and Transactions helps client to work more efficiently and effectively, ensuring their long-term health by raising, preserving, investing and optimizing capital. As an EY transaction professional, you will be able to work with the world's largest organizations, fastest-growing companies and private equity firms on some of the biggest and most complex cross-border engagements in the global market. You will help those clients to make a better and more informed decisions about how they strategically manage capital and transactions in a changing world. That means advising businesses on how they preserve, optimize, raise and invest their capital to help them achieve their strategic objectives.
**The opportunity**
Our Lead Advisory team advises across a broad spectrum of equity and debt transactions within different industries. We help our clients plan their capital investments, seize opportunities, and achieve their strategic objectives. The Lead Advisory team at EY advises large and mid-cap businesses on strategic/funding option reviews, acquisitions, disposals, raising equity and/or debt capital and debt refinancing. We place a strong emphasis on exposing team members to varying sector experience within the different sectors of the economy, across both debt and equity transactions. Through both formal and on-the-job learning, we will help you develop the skills to become an effective adviser, capable of providing objective and responsive advice to our clients across industries and geographies. **Your key responsibilities**
- Lead a transaction from the origination up to the closing, and liaised with internal and external parties, and solve problems and issues that may arise during the transaction process
- Provide guidance to senior and junior associate in conducting market research, developing information memorandum and other relevant documentations to support a successful transaction
- Provide guidance and review the financial model and projections developed to support the transaction process
- Develop a feasible transaction structure for the proposed transaction, considering commercial, tax and regulatory aspects
- Provide commercial inputs and work together with the legal consultant in developing transaction documents, and negotiate the commercial terms of the deal with counterparts
- Work with other EY service line domestically (i.e. consulting, tax and assurance) and cross border to deliver an integrated service to clients
- Drive and support end-to-end transaction cycle, to ensure completion of the proposed transaction
- Lead the development of proposal and pitch document to in relation to the origination of M&A deal, fund raising and pre-IPO activities
**To qualify for the role, you must have**
- Minimum university degree majoring in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering
- Minimum 6+ years (Manager) and 10+ years (Senior Manager) working experience in securities companies, investment bank, other big 4 companies or corporate finance role in a company.
- Professional qualifications, such as CFA, CPA, FRM would be key advantages
- Experience in leading a team for acquisition, divestiture, fund raising, pre-IPO advisory and business integrations projects
- A strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to new challenges in a collaborative team environment
- Possessed strong analytical and structured thinking process, as well as demonstrate good commercial thinking and business acumen
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skill with the ability to deal with people from all levels professionally
- Having the ease to work effectively under pressure and to meet established goals and objectives within the specified deadline, while maintaining quality at all times
- Fluency in English is mandatory, both verbal and written
