Your key roles will be planning, directing and monitoring performance of procurement team to ensure goods and materials are sourced, purchased, and received according to business needs, with below but not limit to:
- Liaise with project management, production or other function to specify the need for procurement solutions- Responsible for supplier mapping and sourcing activities to ensure sufficient supplier market knowledge and manage supplier relations- Ensure purchasing of relevant materials according to business needs.- Ensure needed logistic and transportation solutions- Effectively manage own team, recognizing performance, identifying development activities.
Work complexity and business impact:
- Manages a team of procurement personnel to ensure efficient procurement activities.- Responsible for procurement activities for a medium sized unit/project.- Geographical scope: national/ regional /global- Typical minimum relevant experience required: 5-8 years
Basic Requirement of the position- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering ; with a Master's degree preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.- A minimum of 5-8 years of operational experience for managing supply chain operations in multinational company with 5-6 direct subordinates and exposed to matrix organization structure.- Expert in Supply Chain operations for all relevant areas, as well as sourcing in Indonesia and other countries import & export market.- Ability to quickly gain a deep understand of business processes and products.- Posses knowledge of fabrications, welding, machining, surface treatment such as blasting painting pickling & passivation as well as financial & should-cost analysis.- Excellent skills in English, both written and verbal-
- Understanding of Valmet sourcing processes is preferred.- Proven ability to implement strategies, develop networks and build teams- Superior leadership, communication and relationship management skills- Strong influencing skills across organizations and cultural boundaries- Ability to travel
