Technical Expert, Central Services Assurance And Compliance

Details of the offer

Support and assist PTFI's Central Services Division in development and implementation of an integrated Risk Management System and Freeport Safety Health Management System (FSHMS) to ensure the achievement of NOSA's Five Star Rating and an OHSAS 18001 Compliance recommendation. All of this is to be accomplished within budget and on schedule.
Additional Responsibilities: 1. Monitor and advise on safety policies and practices throughout PTFI's area of work to ensure all safety policies and practices are followed and that they conform to GOI, Corporate and international standards.
2. Provide safety advice for the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the PTFI major safety program elements, such as:
· NOSA/OHSAS 18001-based Freeport Safety Health Management System (FSHMS)
· Safety Accountability Program
· Behavior-based Safety Program
· Safety and Health Steering Committee
· Internal Accident Investigation Committee
· Safety Training Program
· OSHA/NIOSH compliance
· Industrial Hygiene compliance
3. Serve as a liaison between the Central Services Safety Department and the Area Safety Technical Experts and sitewide OH&S Department to ensure good coordination and mutual support towards the achievement of PTFI's NOSA Stars target. This includes both internal to the Division and externally to the Site Safety Department.
4. Identify, coordinate, monitor, and control of the Training and Development activities of national safety representatives in the Central Services Division to develop competencies, skills and trust among the division's managers and field personnel.
5. Provide content advice and edit all safety-related documents that affect the Central Services Division, such as accident investigation reports, monthly reports, safety policies, procedures, and safety publications.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Technical Engineering or equivalent degree in Risk Management in the mining industry and at least ten (10) years of working experience in Risk Management in the mining industry. Extensive experience in Risk Management within the mining industry and system implementation. Computer applications (Expert). Organizational skills (Intermediate). Teaching skill (Expert). Computer literacy (Intermediate). Project management (Expert). Audit skills (Expert). Fluent in English (oral and written) and willing to learn Bahasa Indonesia. Strong negotiation skills.
