Trainee Blender (Cigarette)

The role shall assist the development from conceptualization to launching of new products, maintenance of leaf blends, casing & flavour system, cigarette designs, and supervise team a of Blender Trainees and Junior Sensory.

Assist in providing training and guidance on product knowledge such as product quality, blends, leaf grading, product safety, productivity, and continuous product improvement.

**RESPONSIBLITIES**:

- Assist in executing blend development, casing & flavour system, and cigarette design to fulfil the market product brief i.e., tar/nicotine/CO targets, taste profile, cost, price category, cigarette format, brand, and market of new product launches or line extensions.
- Assist in conducting product maintenance to ensure adherence to tar/nicotine/CO targets or limits set by market product regulatory.
- Assist in implementation of crop mix and timely leaf replacements to maintain chemistry and taste profile of blends.
- Assist in checking the physical, chemistry, and smoke attributes for leaf grade sourcing.
- Assist in providing physical & smoke evaluation, and set-up adjustment if needed on leaf offer samples and recommend which grade to acquire.
- Assist in monitoring a team on preparation of micro-blend, prototype samples.
- Assist and checking data on product process for quality.
- Assist in tobacco incoming inspection to ensure suppliers are delivering declared standard of raw tobacco.
- Assist in initiative such as tobacco grade harmonization, blend harmonization and flavour harmonization to reduce complexity and cost.
- Asses the blend cost and identify potential changes to reduce blend cost.
