**Responsibilities**:
Financial Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance
Ecommerce Accounting:
- Manage the financial aspects of inventory management, including costing, valuation, and reconciliation
- Monitor and reconcile ecommerce payment gateways, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of transactions
Tax Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Prepare and file sales tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Collaborate with external tax advisors as needed to address complex tax matters
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning
- Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement within the financial data
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize revenue, reduce costs, and improve overall financial performance
**Requirements**:
Technical Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- CPA certification preferred
- Minimum of (insert number of years) years of experience as an accountant, preferably in an ecommerce environment
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting principles
Ecommerce Experience:
- Deep understanding of ecommerce operations and financial practices
