Wordpress Developer Intern

**Job Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Work with the development team to:

- Produce new user-facing features in Wordpress environment
- Build reusable code and libraries both in backend and frontend
- Deliver functional - testable code on or before due dates
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders utilizing Agile methodologies

**Skills and Requirements**:

- Demonstrable knowledge in HTML5, CSS3 and MySQL
- Demonstrable knowledge in CSS Grid, Flexbox and Web components
- Demonstrable knowledge in clean PHP8 object oriented coding standards
- Proficient understanding of accessibility in WordPress themes and page design
- Knowledge of Front-End Testing and Tooling
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and REST APIs, AJAX and GraphQL
- A strong understanding of WordPress APIs, theme hierarchy and custom Gutenberg block development
- Demonstrate knowledge in modern team and project management tools such as Jira and Slack
- Demonstrate understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, Mercurial, SVN
- Good documentation skills are a plus
