**What you will do**:
- Generating leads and cold-calling prospective clients.
- Liaising with colleagues to develop sales and marketing strategies
- Research organizations and individuals to seek out appropriate contacts and to find new opportunities.
- Following up on business leads/opportunities and arranging business meetings with prospective clients face-to-face or over the phone.
- Preparing sales presentations and participating in sales meetings
- Developing quotes/proposals and presenting them to prospective clients.
- Assist the Head of Social Research & Head of Business Development in preparing/producing reports for management.
- Having a good understanding of the company's services and being able to advise clients according to their needs.
- Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and company guidelines.
- Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices, etc.
- Fostering and developing long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
- Increasing the business value of existing clients while attracting new clients.
- Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.
- Communicating new product developments to prospective clients.
- Develop entry-level staff into valuable salespeople.
**What you will need**:
- Proven work experience in Business Development or a similar role
- Accustomed to conducting cold calling
- Good command of the English language
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive and a good decision maker
- Project management or organizational skills
- Strategic and good analytical thinking
- Strong ability to write sales reports
- Have experience in handling clients from government, state-owned enterprises, non-profit organizations, and academic clients.
- More than 5 years of experience in the BD field.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree
- Having experience in the market research industry is a huge plus
