**O**bjecti**v**es of t**h**e **P**osi**t**ion**
- To manage business development and technical sales of surface treatment business unit under the Chemetall® brand via direct and indirect distribution in Indonesia aiming to generate sustainable sales growth for G-ECT.
- The focus of this position is to identify and exploit market potentials / new customers as well as to explore customer needs to ensure profitable sales growth by new and existing technologies in new and existing customers.
- To develop and implement market assessment, sales, and business plans in alignment with G-ECT Strategy (Roadmap 2028) for Indonesia, followed up by a consistent and timely roll-out of a concrete growth projects.
- To ensure technical sales support for existing customers incl. product and process consultancy.
**M**ain** Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities**
**Business Development**
- Explore and develop new business / win new customers by high market presence in the field to ensure sustainable growth
- Prepare, negotiate, and conclude business contracts and maintain business growth with customers.
- Ensure relationship management w/ all levels of seniority of customer organization (esp. key decider).
- Maintain and manage sales opportunities, leads, and visit reports maintained in Salesforce CRM tool.
- Ensure accurate demand forecasting as basis for stock planning to secure reliable supply to ID.
- Achieve net sales / profitability budgets and implement pricing measures timely and efficiently.
**Technical Sales**
- Act as a coordinator by connecting the customer teams with our regional technology experts and local technical sales support to provide solutions to proactively avoid or sort out technical issues.
- Provide trainings and share know-how with customers and distribution partners to ensure, that the full potential and advantages of G-ECT's products and process solutions are being materialized.
- Initiate technical lab support or reformulations request of products via CURT workflows in Salesforce
- Ensure "on time response" related to commercial, quality, and technical inquiries / issues of customers.
**Miscellaneous**
- Participate in and contribute to regional / subregional G-ECT meetings, workshops, and conferences
- Collaborate closely with PT BASF ECT Team member as well as G-ECT SEA business management
- Follow-up on payment collections and ensure on-time payment from the customers in case of overdue
- Strict adherence to BASF Group's Compliance Code of Conduct as well as all BDI country policies
**Job Requirements**
- Degree in Chemistry
- Minimum 3 years experiences in commercial or technical roles in Metal Surface Treatment (or Metal Coating) industry
- Ability to work in multi-cultural environments and matrix organizations
- Good command of English; additional language such as Japanese or Chinese language are an advantage
- Presentation, conflict management and communication skills to convince all levels of seniority and departments, such as GM, Production, Application and Procurement as well as Line operators and Lab staff
- Strong personality with good relationship management and negotiation skills
- Microsoft Office user skills (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook); additionally Salesforce CRM know-how is an advantage
