Overview:
**We offer nine Clubs throughout Conejo Valley and the Las Virgenes School Districts. Our membership includes thousands of kids and teens from our community who are guided by our dedicated and passionate staff members, with the support of adult volunteers and volunteer board members!**
**We opened our doors in 2003 and have since grown to be one of the largest Clubs in Southern California! Through hard work, community outreach, and praise-worthy support from our community funders, we have been named one of the top 100 Boys & Girls Clubs out of the 5,000-plus in the country!**
**Clubs provide a safe place to play, laugh, discover, and learn for youth in grades TK-8. We offer SEL-based enrichment programs before and after school, as well as Non-School Days and Summer Camps. Caring, trained staff and volunteers work with our members in a supervised, safe and structured environment. They foster a sense of belonging, responsibility, civility, and civic engagement, helping youth build new skills so they can succeed and receive recognition for their personal accomplishments. **:Responsibilities:
**_Leadership/Fiscal Responsibility: Reports to Board of Governors_**:
- Responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans as approved by the Board of Governors, as well as annual goals and objectives; financial, program and administrative management; and leadership of the organization. Guidance and direction are provided by the Chairman of the Board, by the Board and its Executive Committee.
- Promote Boys & Girls Clubs services to individuals, other service organizations and the local community with a focus on collaboration, directing and participating in public relations and fundraising activities.
- Responsible for building and implementing new strategies for resource development ensuring viability of the clubs into the future.
- Establish goals and budgets; Develop policies and procedures; Monitor and approve the organization's program services to ensure achievement of the mission and goals of BGC in collaboration with and support of the Board.
- Oversee management and attainment of resources necessary to ensure the stable financial operations of the organization are conducted in accordance with applicable laws.
- Oversee talent management activities of the organization, including recruiting, training, mentoring and evaluating both paid and volunteer staff, and provide leadership to Club staff by developing administrative and operational standards by which goals will be met.
- Shape the culture of the organization, creating a positive, safe workplace and developing a high-performing teams.
- Provide professional leadership to the Board to ensure development of an effective and motivated Board, including identification, recruitment, training and involvement of Board members in meeting the goals of the organization.
- Leadership role in organization's Safety Committee and serve as a key player in the development of institutional policies, procedures, and practices ensuring that the organization and all unit clubs are in compliance with local, state, and federal safety requirements and the Membership Requirements of Boys & Girls Clubs of America at all times.
- Ensure that the organization is in compliance with membership and other requirements or standards of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, other affiliated and regulatory agencies and that the Organization has standards and measures in place that define effective safety practices, train t0 to those annually, and identify vulnerabilities and strategies to mitigate risks.
- Serve as point of escalation, feedback and approval for reportable Club incidents ensuring that all accident and incident reports are completed, up to date and submitted to administrative office for archiving.
- May be assigned special projects periodically by the Board.
- Reports to the Board of Governors.
**Community Engagement**:
- Promote Boys & Girls Clubs services to individuals, other service organizations, and the local community with a focus on collaborative communication and engagement.
- Direct and participate in public relations and fundraising activities; lead activities to raise funds or otherwise solicit and gather monetary donations or other gifts for the organization.
**Staff/Volunteers**:
- Oversee staffing activities of the organization, including recruiting, training, mentoring, and evaluating both paid and volunteer staff.
- Provide leadership to Club staff by developing administrative and operational standards by which goals will be met.
