The Coastal Resilience Specialist will work closely with the Coastal Resilience Senior Manager and other relevant teams to works with local communities to identify key leaders, understand their problems and potential, and coordinates with local, national, and international agencies to find most appropriate nature-based solutions.

We're looking for someone who is passionate in conservation, with experience in helping communities understand the ecological and economic importance of protected areas. This position is to coordinates and implements activities that aims to build communities' adaptive capacity to cope with the effects of climate change. The Coastal Resilience Specialist is responsible to build understanding of key stakeholders on ecological and economic importance of protected areas through Nature-based Solutions. Key aspect of the Coastal Resilience Specialist role is to ensure knowledge and evidence-based capacity development strategies, design, implementation, and policy direction by utilizing results such as vulnerability assessments and other scientific/research basis.
The Coastal Resilience Specialist will be based in Jakarta office with frequent travel to YKAN sites. This position will report to the Coastal Resilience Senior Manager.
**WHAT YOU'LL BRING**:
- Bachelor's degree and 4 years' experience in natural resource management or similar field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fluency in English
- Experience managing and supervising staff or contract holders.
- Experience working with partner's/government agencies without violating any restrictions related to conflicts of interest, lobbying former employers, or influencing decision makers.
- Experience with communication via written, spoken, and graphical means in Bahasa Indonesia and English including presenting to community leaders, government officials, or related; and working in partnership with other organizations.
- Experience coordinating multiple projects.
