Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.
Our frontline teams interact with images, video, text related to everyday life, but they can also include (but are not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder.
Hence, it is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content on a daily basis.
What will I be doing?
- You will lead, manage, recruit & develop a team of Content Moderators, helping them to achieve their full potential and maintain high standards & quality of work.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that all services are delivered within the framework of TikTok's core values and in line with existing policies & procedures.
- You actively promote and support inclusion, ensuring that individuals are supported to participate in community and work opportunities according to their interests and goals.
- You will create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture, utilising clear goals and objective setting to help the team succeed.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, both operations and non-operations, to optimize and improve flow processes, business models, policies, and other moderation strategies.
- You will take on the responsibility of landing new projects, along with additional compatible and related responsibilities, which may not necessarily be explicitly listed above.
**Qualifications**:
What should I bring with me?
- You have completed a Bachelor's Degree (Advanced degree is preferred).
- You have 3+ years experience working on content quality or safety in a major tech or media company; with a minimum of 1 year of working experience in team management.
- You have a deep understanding of online safety, privacy, and expression issues.
- You pay strong attention to details and the ability to work independently.
- You possess good interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia is required, as English will be the working language and Bahasa Indonesia will be necessary to cover the Indonesian market.
- Your ability to work in a high-tempo environment, adapt, and respond to the day-to-day challenges of the role.
- Your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role.
