As Medtronic's management representative in the Indonesian market, the Country Director serves as Medtronic's principal spokesperson to influence and contribute to shaping the country's health policies, nurture relationship with policy makers, regulators, healthcare community and the industry.
The Country Director reports to the Frontier Markets Vice President to align the country strategy with the overall Frontier Markets strategy; the Country Director also partners with business leaders to identify opportunities in the country, developing strategic and tactical plans to exceed financial targets, and having full responsibility for the country's profit & loss (P&L).
The Country Director works with key customers/accounts to develop partnership strategies to promote cost-effective delivery of company's therapies and opportunities for therapy adoption.
The Country Director is directly responsible for managing in-country supporting infrastructure, leveraging shared services wherever possible.
The Country Director is also accountable for leading in-country employees, provide coaching in support of employees' development.
It is imperative that the Country Director is a role model in actively promoting Medtronic's Business Code of Conduct; providing guidance and advice to employees to ensure legal compliance, as well as maintaining the Company's agreed quality standards about its products, procedures, policies, operations, and customer contact.
**A Day in the Life**
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Build Indonesia's 5-year Strategic Plan.
- Support the Frontier Markets strategy by aligning Indonesia strategies and plans.
- Exceed financial targets i.e., all aspects of P& L management for country.
- Provide leadership to the Indonesia team in managing day-to-day operational activities and issues resolution (e.g., cheque signatory, approval for payment for customs clearance, act as management representative for provident fund and tax administration, daily order fulfillment, GST issues, signing of contracts in the presence of hospitals with approval from the Frontier Markets VP).
- Coordinate with Frontier Markets country leaders to develop strong organizational culture and infrastructure to achieve synergies and operational excellence to support business strategies and growth.
- Provide day-to-day coaching to employees and co-manage performance and development of direct reports with business and functional leaders.
- Lead the Indonesia team through excellence in coaching, target setting, sales coverage, and market development activities.
- Be a role model in actively promoting Medtronic's Business Code of Conduct and turning it into the company's competitive advantage.
- Collaborate across the organisation as follows:
- Partner with Channel Director to build an overall Channel Strategy by assessing the feasibility and readiness to go more direct, recommending an operating model to capture growth.
- Finance to manage accounts receivables.
- Regulatory Affairs for getting product registration approval and reimbursement.
- Human Resources for talent management.

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant sales experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant sales experience
**Knowledge and Skills**

- Experience of managing Emerging markets is a preference.
- Highly developed people management skills: ability to lead, manage and motivate by example.
