We are seeking an energetic Data Center Engineering Operation Program Manager (DCEO-PM) to serve as a technical resource and leader within the new Indonesia data center. The position will assist and support DCEO Cluster Manager (DCEO CM) and DCEO Facility Manager (DCEO FM) to ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. This position is an individual contributor position and must have capability to build relationship with others internally and externally to ensure tasks can be executed well.
Key job responsibilities
To ensure safe, secured, reliable and cost-effective operation & maintenance of data center colo-sites, through implementation of operation excellence program which enable mission-critical servers and must maintain better than 99.999% uptime
- Work with DCEO CM to ensure good relationship with Colo Provider Management to ensure AWS colo-site can provide services meet or exceed AWS expectation.
- Provide support for DCEO CM to manage and ensure smooth project to operation transition for current and future data center sites,
- Manage cluster-wide support process such as procurement, planning & budgeting, energy management efficiency, and other cluster-wide support process in the future
- Liaise and work with internal partners such as finance, procurement, public policy, and other function to support external stakeholder's engagement to ensure smooth operation and avoid potential operation disturbance due to external factors.
- Ensure process standardization and champion & lead continuous process improvement
A day in the life
This role reports to the Indonesia DCEO Cluster Manager and is Amazon's front line when it comes to management of the electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting. They will maintain, operate, and troubleshoot, with the assistance of the site engineering operations team, the mission-critical data center facility equipment including electrical support equipment such as stand-by diesel generators and related fuel systems, 3 phase electrical systems that include but not limited to switchgear, UPS units, PDUs, and wet cell batteries and associated systems. Mechanical equipment includes CRAC units, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers/water chemical system, air handlers and associated systems, pumps, and motors. Additional support equipment is included in the scope of the role which includes fire suppression systems, building automation systems, and general facilities equipment.
DCEO PM will coordinate the training of the site engineering operations technicians in line with Amazons Infrastructure global training program to ensure they are proficient in all aspects of the site engineering operations including, but not limited to equipment operation and maintenance, incident management and escalation, safety, scorecard, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and document creation.
