Deputy/Associate Director of Finance in the Finance Office [Ref. A/759/09] The Finance Office is committed to providing timely, accurate, and relevant financial information and support of the University in the fulfillment of its vision, mission and strategic plan. Our primary focus is on delivering results, pursuing economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in all our services.
Our Finance Team is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy/Associate Director of Finance to join the team.
Duties Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Deputy/Associate Director will assume a leadership position in accounting services, financial management, budget and capital planning, payroll management, receipt and payment, as well as procurement and campus services. Main duties include to:
Collaborate closely with academic units, research institutes, and administration offices to provide a wide range of accounting, financial, and administrative functions; Ensure compliance with statutory and external requirements in financial reporting and management; Serve as a key financial advisor to the University; Maintain strong relationship with the stakeholders to meet their evolving needs for financial information and advice; and Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements A visionary and seasoned finance professional with a recognised degree preferably in Accounting/Finance, and a professional accounting qualification; A minimum of 15 years of relevant professional and managerial experience at senior level in accounting and finance functions in sizable organisations; Being self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a team player attitude; Excellent analytical and financial analysis skills with the ability to complete tasks with tight deadlines; and Experience with PRC accounting standards and Mainland tax would be an advantage. Salary and Conditions of Service Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
