Director of Business Development - Japan Business Unit: The Peninsula Hong Kong
Responsibilities:
Develop and contribute to the sales and rate strategies and business pitches to improve the business of room sales, Food & Beverage, Spa and Events business in the Japanese Market. Solicits FIT bookings and ad-hoc leisure group leads from the leisure segment. Converts these leads into actual business and maximises revenue opportunities for the hotel, including revenue from conference/catering, Spa and F&B. Effectively manages the relationships of key stakeholders in the Travel Agent accounts. Maximises business opportunities for the hotel. Focuses on new business opportunities while maintaining existing accounts. Plan and direct sales activities in Japan and report sales performance / opportunities / challenges to the Director of Sales. Builds and maintains excellent business relationships with our key accounts locally by paying regular sales visits to clients' offices, providing business entertainment and making telephone calls on a regular basis. Requirements:
Degree Holder or equivalent education At least seven years of related work in Sales within an international hotel chain Fluent English and Japanese Competent knowledge of Microsoft Programs About The Peninsula Hong Kong The legendary 'Grande Dame of the Far East' first opened in 1928.
