We are seeking a skilled and experienced Farming Lead to join our dynamic team. As a Farming Lead, you will take a leadership role in driving farming initiatives and strategies across multiple farming operations and commodities. You will work closely with various stakeholders including but not limited to farmers, agronomists, agri input suppliers, harvest processing, and technology teams to optimize farming practices, increase yields, and improve the overall efficiency and sustainability of agricultural operations by enhancing its operational model and business model to allow further scaling it up in the future.
**What you will do but not limited to**:
- Define, develop, implement and continous improve On Farming strategies, including planning, resource allocation, engagement model, and performance monitoring to enhance best farming practices and drive sustainable growth.
- Conduct thorough analysis and assessment of current farm operations, identifying areas for improvement in terms of productivity, scalability, sustainability, and profitability.
- Design and and execute field experiments and trials to test and validate end-to-end precision farming techniques and technologies in collaboration with experts & industries.
- Collaborate with internal teams, farmers, and industries, and experts to implement innovative farming techniques and technologies to improve farming efficiency and productivity.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, and potential partners and/or customers as well as exploring mutual benefit partnership & collaboration.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the precision farming team, ensuring their professional development and success.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Agronomy, Agriculture, or any related field.
- Minimum 5-6 years of experience in precision farming or a similar role, with a proven track record in successfully runs on-farm business for multi commodities across but not limited to Horticulture, Aquaculture, grain and/or crops.
- Has strong relationship with farming industry players across commodities and experience to build on-farm organization will be a plus point.
- Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret farming data and provide actionable recommendations.
- In-depth knowledge of precision farming practices, technologies, and tools.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring of precision farming projects.
- Passionate about sustainable agriculture and innovation in the farming industry.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as in a team-oriented environment.
