Geotechnical Engineer

Job Description

As a Fugro Geotechnical Engineer you will work on geotechnical engineering design, interpreting test data, developing geotechnical parameters and performing a range of engineering analyses focussing primarily on foundation design for offshore structures. You will be part of the Geotechnics Consultancy team working under the supervision of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Performance of engineering analyses under supervision;- Data processing and management using spreadsheets and in-house software;- Production of soil parameters and engineering reports;- Working on multiple projects, and performing client-related project administrative tasks;- Assisting other professionals with proposals and business development tasks;- Attending technical training;- Supporting implementation of process improvements in technical areas.

Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline or equivalent in education and experience.- Proven offshore experience (2 years min) in the geotechnical marine engineering environment preferable. It is expected that this would have been in support of the marine oil & gas, offshore wind farm.- Experience with geotechnical finite element analysis software or other engineering software such as Mathcad or Matlab would be advantageous but not essential.- Proficient at Microsoft Office, Excel and Word.- Good citizenship, teamwork, continues improvement, problem solving, communication skills, planning & organizing.
