This role will provide crucial channel management services that support the successful and efficient achievement of the companys revenue targets, together with protecting and enhancing customer/partner relationships.
**As the Head of Channels, you will**:
- Leading a team of approx. 4 people to drive sales growth via team performance and business procedures utilising both upselling and cross selling opportunities with channel partners ecosystem.
- Supporting the Country Manager to achieve their business goals and revenue/GM targets
- Drive channel excellence by working closely with the vendor management team in ensuring we meet vendors KPI for channel development and leads generation
- Work on mid and long term plan to drive channel growth with existing and newly on boarded vendor
- Leading from the front; managing (hiring, training, developing, motivating, reviewing) the channel team and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all channel aspects
- Taking lead in fostering and maintaining relationship with business partners at leadership level
- Ensuring that the company CRM and associated sales office workflow systems are utilised and managed efficiently, especially with regard to the updating and accuracy of: - Customer/vendor/product information, sales aids, pricing, lead times, forecasts, sales order processing, stock inventory
- Produce meaningful and regular management reports e.g. partners sales & profitability performance, partner leads generation
- Main strong and consistently driven channel team activity impetus, especially during periods of his absence
- Providing information and figures as appropriate to supporting the development and adherence to effective business plans and budgets.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE** |** **About you**
**The ideal Head of Channels**:
- Significant track record of sales and sales office management success, in a fast-moving IT product and services environment.
- Progressive, hands-on style, with the credibility, gravitas and resilience to succeed in a dynamic, highly customer/partner focused commercial environment.
- Self-motivated, energetic, tenacious.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capacity.
- Forward thinking and ability to adapt and evolve to suit rapid business growth.
- Experience in using CRM systems effectively for team/business/operational management and reporting.
- Degree in Sales and Administration or equivalent
- 7-10+ years of experience in channel/distribution sales
- Experience with resellers sales at leadership level
- Excellent network with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be smart, self-motivated, highly adaptable, data driven, energetic, and a great problem solver
- Strong ability and desire to coach, develop, and train team members in sales fundamentals
- Passion for improving organizational efficiency and productivity
