Housekeeping Manager

**Summary**:
Under the direct guidance of the Executive Housekeeper or his/her delegate within the limits of established Hilton World Wide and local policies and procedures, oversees and directs the day to day operation of Housekeeping Department and assist in the forward planning of the department.
**Responsibilities**:
- Directs the work assignment of Supervisory and non-Supervisory.
- Monitors Housekeeping Team Member to ensure guests receive prompt and courteous service.
- Monitor Housekeeping Team Member to ensure guest rooms and particularly those of priority members known repeat guests and other VIP's receive special attention.
- Prioritize checking for all VIP arrivals, HHonors member, long staying guest & regular guest.
- Working closely with Executive Housekeeper in drive team member to achieve target or even exceed of cleanliness
- High concern on feedback coming from online survey
- Schedule routine inspections with Supervisor of guest rooms including arrival rooms and stay over rooms.
- Inspect all floor corridor, service area and pantry area to perform all good maintenance and cleanliness.
- Inspect public areas cleanliness and liaise to have special cleaning of the day, special project etc.
- Monitor Team Member performance, Team Member schedule in daily basis; liaise with Supervisor and Housekeeping Admin.
- Appraise appearance, discipline and efficiency of all Team Member under direct supervision and initiate immediate remedial action if necessary.
- Ensure that consumption of guest supplies is under control.
- Assists in monitoring and controlling Housekeeping Procedures including lost and found, key control, security and emergency procedures, health and safety for Team Member and guests.
- Monitoring all Housekeeping expenses in daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Monitor cleaning machines, cleaning equipment's, and cleaning tools maintenance in weekly and monthly basis.
- Acts on behalf of the Executive Housekeeper in his/her absence as assigned.
**Other Considerations**:
- Assist in planning for future staffing needs.
- Assist in recruiting in line with company guidelines.
- Ensure training needs analysis of Housekeeping Team Member is carried out and training programs are designed and implemented to meet needs.
- Coaches, counsels and disciplines Team Member, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance.
- Regularly communicates with Team Member and maintain good relations.
- Assists with the efficient roster of Housekeeping Team Member in line with labor codes.

- A successful track record of managing a large team
- A high school certificate or equivalent
- High level of commercial awareness and cost control capabilities
- Previous experience of managing a department and Profit and Loss account
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Committed to delivering high levels of customer service
- Ability to work under pressure
- IT proficiency
- Excellent grooming standards
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
- Proficiency, at an intermediate level, with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational, budget management, and problem solving skills
