**Job Purpose**:

Fully responsible for managing the HR function and areas relating to employee relations, HR programs, recruitment, policies and procedures, and performance management to ensure that Tech Data fosters a productive and engaged workforce.
Conduct ongoing coaching and counselling with direct reports, managers and senior managers.
In addition, the individual will be responsible for managing special projects assigned by the regional HR VP.
**Responsibilities**:
- End to end responsibility and accountability for a country HR policies, local strategies & programs.
- Member of the local country management
- Managing the local HR team (& optional: managing employees from admin services)
- Leading others to solve complex problems; taking a broad perspective to identify innovative HR solutions
- Work in partnership with line managers on performance management, employee relations, resourcing and staff management/development.
- Support line managers with sensitive and confidential issues such as sickness absence review meetings, grievance, disciplinary and capability investigations and hearings.
- Lead the objective setting and the appraisal process, ensuring that line managers are aware of and fulfil all of their responsibilities effectively.
- In partnership with the TA COE, lead the recruitment and induction process, ensuring best practice is followed.
- In collaboration with the TM COE, design and lead training sessions for line managers in relation to HR procedures
- Provide support and advice to staff with regard to issues inside work, and ensure that staff are able to access professional support with regard to any serious issues which affect them.
- Work closely with HR colleagues across the business to define, monitor, review and update all policies in line with current legislation and best practice.
- Support and develop effective recruitment and selection campaigns.
- Help to drive organizational performance by driving core business objectives and in particular employee engagement.
- Be responsible for developing & implementing HR Projects as appropriate
- Promote the values of TD through participation in organizational initiatives and by taking actions wherever possible to support corporate initiatives
**Knowledge Skills and Experience**:
***
- 8-10 years of experience of HR experience
- Articulate, confident and fluent communicator and will demonstrate a high level of oral and written English or local language.
- Advanced IT skills (Word processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, Internet).
- Sound knowledge of HR practices
- Proven experience in a variety of Human Resource competencies
- Demonstrated awareness of HR best practice
- High level knowledge of employment legislation
- Ability to facilitate discussions with individuals, and groups
- Sound judgement and decision making skills
