**What you'll do and what success looks like in this role**
- Develop and implement a comprehensive credit risk strategy in line with AWDA's overall business objectives.
- Establish and maintain robust credit risk policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices esp. in area of MSME lending.
- Develop and implement risk assessment models and tools to evaluate the creditworthiness of customers and assess the potential risks associated with lending activities.
- Lead review on credit performance of portfolio, construct credit analysis conducted and provide feedback to improve credit performance.
- Monitor and analyze key credit risk metrics and indicators to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats, providing timely recommendations and actions to mitigate risks.
- Manage the performance of the credit underwriting and the collections function to attain the targeted turnaround time and productivity and losses KPIs.
- Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders, including but not limited to product, finance, and compliance teams, to ensure alignment on risk management strategies and initiatives.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and stress tests to evaluate the impact of changing market conditions, economic factors, and regulatory changes on the company's credit portfolio.
- Prepare and present credit risk reports and findings to senior management and the Board of Directors, highlighting key risks, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments related to credit risk management, incorporating relevant insights into AWDA's risk management framework.
**What is required and what we're looking for**
- University Degree holder or above in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Risk Management, Statistics, or a related field
- 12+ years relevant experience in credit risk management from SME or consumer banking or consumer finance with exposure to cover MSME or Productive or Secured Lending and businesses
- Solid MSME credit risk management experience and familiarity to end-to-end credit decision process tools (MSME underwriting, credit scorecard, segmentation models, decision engine, IFRS9, Basel, etc.)
- Solid understanding of the credit operations management function (underwriting and collections)
- Ability to build effective relationships and liaise effectively with key business areas and management at all levels of the organization
- Experience in fin-tech and/or digitalization projects in financial institution is a plus
- Have a strong desire to embrace and drive change with strong influencing ability
- Excellent communication skill in **Bahasa and English** is preferred
