The Group's main business in Indonesia has historically been the defense domain, where Thales is a long-term provider of defense systems for the Indonesian Army and Navy. In these areas Thales has demonstrated a strong commitment to working collaboratively with the Indonesian government and partners with local stakeholders. In recent years there has been an increased interest in the Thales civil solutions especially in the field of transportation and air traffic control. With the growing attention to infrastructure development by the Indonesian government, Thales will have opportunities in the transportation and security domain.
The Indonesia Deputy Project Manager (IDPM) will support the Project Manager of the RAFALE Offset projects. In this role, the IDPM will:
- Support the Project Manager in the negotiations and agreement on the Industrial Cooperation Contract (ICC)
- Liaise with all Key Industrial Partners (KIP) to ensure progress on the deliverables of the offset projects
- Ensure good cooperation and communication with all KIPs
- Support the Thales DMS project team in the logistics of all in-country visits.
- Support and coordinate all actions relevant for Export Control, from the Indonesia perspective
As the face of the project in Indonesia, the IDPM will be responsible to liaise with all Key Industrial Partners (KIP) projects, engaging across the organization, and managing stakeholders to exceed customer expectations.
With your strong leadership skills, excellent communication, you will guide less experienced team members to success when the team will be growing.
**Essential Functions/Key Areas of Responsibility**
- Key stakeholder for the successful completion of a Projects, within budget, schedule and to the required technical performance.
- Providing the primary interface between Thales and the Key Industrial Partners, or other customers/ stakeholders, on all management issues relating to the projects.
- Conducting progress meetings, ad hoc meetings and contract performance reviews to report on project status to Thales management.
- Monitoring, controlling and reporting the performance of each project.
- Monitoring, controlling and high-level reporting of the overall Program risks and opportunities
**Minimum Requirements: Skills, Experience, Education, Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Certifications, Language**:
- Fluent Bahasa Indonesian (mandatory)
- 5+ years' experience in project management
- International exposure (Studies, business trips, experiences in foreign companies, etc)
- Ability to work with complex Work Breakdown Structures
- Experienced in Defence and Security
- Experienced in Export Control and Trade Compliance
- French language is a plus
