We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role **Manager FX Trading Associate**.
**Job Purposes**:
Reporting to Head of Trading, this role has primary responsibility for managing FX Trading activities under Global Market business segment. This includes provides timely, consistent and accurate dealing quotation for clients (onshore and offshore) through sales. Manage Bank's FX and FX Swap cash flow and also inventory and trading risk under supervision and as assigned in compliance with all applicable regulation. Ensures correct ticket entry and order routing, maintains communication with sales desk and assists in resolving any settlement problems, ensures ticket entry completion and provides general trading activity reports, as necessary. Executes firm and customers' trades in accordance with desk Volcker designation and may contribute to the formulation of trading strategies.
**Responsibilities**:
- Effectively maintains various risk positions and manages within position limits, providing liquidity and trade ideas to clients while trading within set limits to help the trading team achieve a given revenue target.
- Ensures correct ticket entry and order routing, maintains communication with sales desk and assists in resolving any settlement problems, ensures ticket entry completion and provides general trading activity support, as necessary.
- Provides consistent pricing and market making to sales force and target clients.
- Monitors all daily electronic trading activity and determines where certain trades should be routed for execution, reviews all activity for accuracy of account information.
- Executes firm and customers' trades in accordance with desk Volcker designation and may contribute to the formulation of trading strategies.
- Ensures all trades are booked to front office position keeping system on the day they are executed.
- Reconciles daily and/or monthly reports, as assigned.
- External and Internal Clients: Networks, develops and nurtures client relationships, anticipates and identifies their needs.
- Internal Collaboration: Develops close and effective working relationships within respective Regions/Countries/Functions/Global Businesses.
- Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.
- Encourage and enable constructive cross-country and cross-business teamwork by demonstrating collaboration and matrix management in action and challenging actions and behaviours that are not consistent with HSBC's diversity policy and/or the best interests of the business and its customers.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of management information, analysis and reporting framework that supports and informs timely and effective business management and decision making at all levels.
- The jobholder is responsible for managing and mitigating operational risks in their day to day operations. In executing these responsibilities, the Group has adopted risk management and internal control structure referred to as the 'Three Lines of Defence'. The jobholder should ensure they understand their position within the Three Lines of Defence, and act accordingly in line with operational risk policy, escalating in a timely manner where they are unsure of actions required.
- This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators. Through the implementation the Global AML, Sanctions and ABC Policies, supporting Guidance, and Line of Business Procedures the jobholder will make informed decisions in accordance with the core principles of HSBC's Financial Crime Risk Appetite.
Qualifications
**Requirements**:
- Has good knowledge of the Group's businesses, particularly in **FX / FX swap Trading** in Global Market business.
- **3 years of relevant experience, or 1 year of line experience as Trader / Sales ( in Global Markets ).**:
