Retail Operations Manager

The Retail Operations Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the stores' operations and mainly to implement the right processes and practices across the organization. This role involves coordinating with various operational functions to ensure efficiency, productivity, and the achievement of organizational goals. The Retail Operations Manager is also tasked with improving processes, optimizing resource allocation, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibility

1. Operations Oversight:

- Supervise and manage the operations team, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback (internal and external).
- Ensure the smooth execution of daily operational activities, including sales thru, products allocation, inventory management, and logistics

2. Process Improvement:

- Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in operational processes and implement strategies for streamlining workflows.
- Introduce and monitor key performance indicators (i.e: UPT, ATV, AUR ) to sales team (TLs, DMs) and store team to measure operational efficiency and track improvements.

3. Resource Management:

- Allocate resources effectively to meet sales targets, project deadlines, and service-level agreements.
- Collaborate with Ops. Trainer (internal and external) to ensure the training, and skill development to enhance team performance.

4. Quality Control:

- Implement quality assurance measures to maintain consistent product or service quality.
- Develop and enforce quality control standards and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

5. Budget Management:

- Collaborate with finance teams to develop and manage operational budgets.
- Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety.
- Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions

6. Supply Chain Coordination:

- Liaise with allocator, visual merchandising team, logistics and distribution vendors, to ensure timely delivery of marketing materials and products delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Develop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; develop, implement, enforce, and evaluate policies and procedures; develop processes for receiving product, inventory management, and shipping

7. Data Analysis and Reporting:

- Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and continuously monitor store layout; implement changes.
- Using insights from these data, to create improved processes and procedures that help the organisation leverage its comparative advantages and achieve its business goals at the lowest possible cost.
- Generate regular reports for senior management detailing operational performance and recommending strategies.

8. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and planning and allocation, to align operations with business goals.
- Facilitate effective communication and teamwork between departments.
- Partnering with Franchisee teams to improve proprietary tools and ways of working.

9. Continuous Improvement Culture:

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the operations team.
- Encourage the team to propose and implement ideas for enhancing processes and efficiency.
- Improving operational processes and best practices in store

10. Health and Safety Compliance:

- Uphold and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards across operations.
- Implement safety protocols and training programs in collaboration with Trainer Ops or Mall Team to mitigate risks and accidents.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in operations management, business administration, or a related field; master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management or a relevant leadership role.
- Strong understanding of store operational processes and quality control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Strong drive with sound business/commercial acumen skills
- Exemplary planning and execution skills: establish plans, manage and improve processes, drive team execution
- Good business development and negotiation skills
