Job Description
Job Purpose This position is responsible for the management of Sales & Distribution Department activities including its planning and execution in line with the annual hotel strategy and business plan with the main target to achieve/exceed the target.
Primary Responsibilities Sales Management Responsible to handle sales management and activities in Jakarta area, Indonesia.Achieve daily targeted number of sales calls with effectivenessDevelop business leads update for the Hotel on timely basisPrepare monthly list of accounts to penetrate for the following monthPlan a minimum of 2 site inspections/entertainment meetings per week to qualified potential accounts or new accountsPrepare monthly action plan to maximize the production of main market segmentPerform monthly review account profile on room nights production with their average rate and catering business productionsMonitor competitors' rate strategy, account penetration and marketing activities to maintain a competitive edgeFully responsible of accounts under his/her management; including business production, updating profile and contracting or renewing contractsUpdate management on VIP arrivals, meet and greet accordinglyUp-sell, cross-sell and promote Hotel facilities & services at every available opportunity in order to maximize sales revenueConduct negotiations to achieve the best profit and rates for the HotelAttend hotel clients and local community business events to network and maintain high visibilityUpdate Director of Sales & Distribution on market trends and business leadsTeam Management Interview, select and recruit direct reports when necessaryIdentify and develop team members with potentialConduct performance review with the teamConstantly monitor team members' appearance, attitude and degree of professionalismDevelop, conduct maintain all staff training programs for team members, focusing on their development needs, providing them with new skills to meet the changing needs of the business
Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience Diploma in Tourism / Hospitality ManagementMinimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity with proven track recordsExcellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English languageProficient in Microsoft Office application, especially MS Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPointCompetencies Strong leadership, interpersonal and training skillsGood communication and customer contact skillsService oriented with an eye for detailsAbility to work well in stressful & high-pressure situationsA team player & builderA motivator & self-starterWell-presented and professionally groomed at all times
