**About the role**:
This role will manage the electrical design and operational support requirements for Asia region. The role report to the Projects and Asset Management Manager Asia and is required to be located in Indonesia with travel across the Asia region as needed to support the operations.
The incumbent, as part of the Asia Projects & Engineering team, fulfils a critical business and technical support role in the business, providing expert electrical engineering design services and advice to the Asia Region and related functions.
This includes electrical governance and Responsible Engineering (RE) duties (Group Standards and relevant regulatory standards) in conjunction with advice and input on design development and equipment construction for manufacturing and delivery systems and fixed plant installations used by the Asia Region in accordance with time and cost constraints.
**What you will be doing**:
- Manage commissioning and handover of capital projects and/or modified plant and assets
- Sustaining awareness and providing expert electrical engineering advice on safety, relevant group standards and statutory regulations (within the electrical team, wider engineering group and internal customers).
- Ensuring that all electrical designs produced comply with their "basis of safety".
- Ensuring that design requests are documented through the SAP Work Order system and supported by concept papers, scope of works and design reviews where appropriate.
- Preparing electrical design project estimates as appropriate.
- Ensure work is appropriately defined such that design output and processes meet customer expectations.
- Sharing technical and business knowledge throughout the global engineering group.
**What you will bring**:
- Must be a Registered Professional Engineer.
- Minimum 8 years experience in technical business with involvement in production, technology, and engineering design.
- At least 10 years (15 preferred) professional engineering.
- Experience in project management and managing small teams.
- Hold a relevant engineering degree (or equivalent) from a recognised tertiary institute.
- Knowledge of statutory requirements relating to electrical engineering and the commercial explosives industry.
- Knowledge of engineering theory and practice covering all engineering disciplines including project management.
