Senior Manager Accounting Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
In the dynamic business environment, this position is responsible for creating and maintaining sustainable, accurate and efficient Accounting processes for the legal entity/entities directing all Accounting activities and functions to ensure the integrity of the financial records.
This includes, but is not limited to, project Accounting lead, Accounting process creation and review, internal and external audit liaison for Accounting topics, oversight of financial records, month-end closing, financial statement preparation in compliance with international and local accounting standards and statutory requirements, and liaison between Finance and the Global Business Services (GBS) function.
Through engaging with our GBS (Global Business Services) team, the role seeks to continuously identify opportunities for further collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the Accounting function by taking a key leadership role in the day-to-day management of the team, defining performance targets for the team members, and monitoring team member performance and development. Oversees and manage E2E operations of the Accounting team, including the design of the team structure to cover accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury and general ledger activities. Devise and execute control measures in tax planning and ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations working closely with tax consultants. Monitor and manage cash flow forecasts to meet operational needs. Constantly challenging the norm and ensuring development and delivery of accurate and relevant financial solutions. Facilitate and strengthen business relationships between finance and other business areas. Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness of the Accounting function. Strong understanding of local regulatory landscape and serve as a principal liaison with ability to navigate effective interactions and communications with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies to uphold the company's commitment to transparency and accountability

Excellent knowledge in finance and accounting. Ability to coach, manage, align, motivate, and develop direct reports. Ability to interact, effectively present information and respond to questions from stakeholders, senior management, cross functional business leaders, peers, vendors, and customers. Ability to understand the business process and to think strategically. Ability to manage effectively in a team environment, coordinating multiple tasks in parallel, many times with conflicting priorities and tight deadlines. Identify and propose opportunities for improvement. Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
Experienced senior level accountant with strong background in governmental accounting theory, financial analysis, implementation, and maintenance of accounting systems with process improvement Experience on entity set up and managing multiple entities within Group is big plus 10+ years of broad-based operational finance experience and progressive responsibility in industry leading companies In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements and experience in International Accounting Standards. Fluency in written & spoken English. Familiarity with SAP, Power BI and other relevant adidas and industry Finance systems/analytical software a big plus
