Royal HaskoningDHV (RHDHV) is a highly respected 140+ year old engineering consultancy company that designs & builds industrial assets such factories and logistics centers for many leading organizations. In 2022, we've joined forces with Districon, a leading supply chain analytics and logistics consultancy with 45 years' experience developing strategies and solving issues for supply chain management and integrated logistics.
**What will you do**:
What is strategically the optimal supply network? What is tactically the optimal balance between demand, supply and capacity? What is the optimal order batching and picking sequence in a warehouse? What is the optimal production schedule in manufacturing environment? What is the optimal fleet utilization of an ocean, air, rail, or road carrier? And any other supply chain optimization challenge.
- You participate in or lead regular sprint meetings, connecting the business challenges with the solution requirements.
Next to the project work, you will also get responsibilities in business development. Think about setting up and giving demos, preparing material for conferences, and talking to potential clients. As we work project-based it is important for us to get new clients and keep on generating work.
We work a lot with the mathematical optimization platform AIMMS, simulation software WITNESS Horizon, and SQL, Python, and PowerBI.

A strong interest for complex puzzles in the supply chain domain. You have an affinity with programming and connecting data sets. You are critical, accurate and show courage, you like to create your own opportunities.
Furthermore, as **Supply Chain Modelling Engineer** you are:
- Analytically strong: capable of understanding and explaining complex processes.
- Good at mathematics: you can easily draw the right conclusions from a large amount of data.
- Technology driven: you have an interest in collecting, optimizing, connecting and structuring data from multiple sources.
- A bit headstrong: you think further than necessary and also give unsolicited advice.
As a basis, you bring along:
- A completed academic master's degree in Operations Research, (Applied) Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or a related study.
- Some work experience or interest in supply chain, logistics or ICT, gained during or after your studies.
- (Demonstrated) experience or interest in mathematical optimization software programs, simulation software (Witness), SQL, Python, R, PowerBI or Qlik.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English - excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Can work independently on projects, but is as well a powerful team player who wants to work on a wide variety of projects.
- Willingness to travel, both for incidental trips to our offices in Singapore and The Netherlands, or to APAC clients.
- We welcome both starters as consultants with 0-3 years of relevant working experience.
