**Team Leader Communities - Engagement Systems**
Up to 18 months fixed term contract / full time
Greenpeace International (GPI) is looking for a **Team Leader Communities **to develop, facilitate and energise our global communities of engagement systems users.
Networking widely to ensure great collaboration between the community of National/Regional Organisations (NROs), you will bring together inspiring messaging, thought leadership and innovative engagement techniques to generate enthusiasm for our tools and effectively communicate product capabilities, upgrades, roadmaps and benefits. Reporting directly to the Head of Engagement Systems, you will work closely with global product teams, in particular Product Managers, as well as local NRO leadership and other staff practitioners around the globe. Your responsibilities will also include providing line management and leadership to the communities team.
**In this role you will**:
- Moderate and support communities of practice amongst technology practitioners in Greenpeace offices
- Empower our community managers to practise a culture of effective community management.
- Communicate product features, capabilities and benefits through presentations, architecture diagrams, graphics/illustrations, videos, solution guides, case studies, blog posts, etc.
- Promote local NRO innovations and developments that improve or extend product utility.
- Organise and facilitate a regular programme of product communications, meetings and events.
- Build strong relationships with/between NRO practitioners, local/global product owners, and product support.
- Work closely with the product team to ensure that NRO training needs are identified and met, and bugs and support requests are managed in a timely fashion.
- Encourage adoption, integration and use of the full suite of globally shared engagement systems.
- Serve as liaison between the practitioner community, product vendors and Global IT to ensure support.
- Assist in the negotiation and ongoing maintenance of new and renewed global systems contracts.
- Ensure up to date documentation of product functionality, technical architecture and process management.
- Lead, manage and develop the members of the communities team to ensure their effective performance, through objective setting, performance reviews, coaching and training.
- Plan, manage, re-forecast and justify budgets for product expenditures, team development and travel.

**What we're looking for**:
Remember no one has every skill or experience needed for this role and you'll have the opportunity to learn a lot from the team. We believe someone who has a few of these is well suited to exceed in this role:
- Line management experience, ideally of distributed, multicultural and cross-disciplinary teams.
- Strong influencing and coaching skills that allow you to lead, align and inspire cross-functional teams.
- A proven ability to shape team visions and missions, starting from scratch/initial concept.
- Vendor management experience, especially negotiations with SaaS (Software as a Service) vendors.
- Strong history of content creation including product documentation, detailed product collateral, architecture diagrams, and more.
- Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities.
- Superb communication and public speaking - taking the complex and telling compelling stories.
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, and preferably one other language.
- Ideally, experience with Agile/Scrum.
- Experience in an international and culturally diverse environment, with willingness to travel.
- Demonstrable support for and belief in the Greenpeace network core aims and values.
- Digital literacy skills; the ability to learn and utilise our digital platforms to successfully perform the role function (familiarity with G-Suite, Slack and Zoom is an advantage)
