We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of **Associate Vice President/Vice President Data Remediation - **Wealth and Personal Banking**
**Responsibilities**:
- This position will work with each of the WPB business counterparts and functional stakeholders to execute the WPB data strategy as well as lead data remediation initiatives. This will also require working with Global and Regional Data & Analytics team, ASP country business units, Change Delivery, Software Delivery, and all IT teams.
- The role holder will engage with a team of best practitioners in country and across the region which have corporate-wide knowledge and experience in enterprise business data management and will focus on the execution of WPB improvements in data management, data quality and data remediation to support global information management reporting, compliance, and business strategy initiatives.
- This will include the understanding of, and commenting upon, the design and build of the future capability, acting as the "data expert" for the WPB business. Any issues identified will then be fed back to the WPB Management, Country DAO management team.
- Specifically, the role holder is accountable for managing data risk within the first line of defense, in the context of the NFR. Additionally, they will ensure they effectively manage sales suitability, money laundering, counter terrorist financing, fraud, and reputational risk.
- The role scope encompasses oversight of all activities impacting data in HBID WPB, and data pertaining to HBID WPB.
Qualifications
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of working experience, where 4+ years of experience in data management, or a related field is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Financial Services (Banking, Wealth Management, and Capital Markets) business processes and resultant information needs: client, risk / regulatory / finance, etc.
- Demonstrated knowledge of data structure, data systems/tools and related software and data management policies and practices in a complex organizational environment.
- Proven record of effective project execution, getting things done through others not directly under his/her supervision; and working ethically.
- Project Management skills (project planning and tracking; Issue identification and management; project status reporting).
- Business process analysis skills - ability to analyze and document the current processes and organizations that create and manage the client data.
- Data analysis skills - ability to analyze the different client identifiers and client hierarchies and understand the relationship between them and any controls currently in place (or if controls should be in place).
