As a Web Chapter Lead in Style Theory, you will be responsible for managing and supporting a team of highly skilled web engineers.
You will steer the web platform and make it possible to build and maintain highly-available, high-performance web sites and webapps that will allow us to support our subscribers and allow us to experiment with new models that help achieve a sustainable fashion consumption.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Set the agenda, vision, and direction for the team
- Provide leadership, guidance and direction on coding standards, web system design and architecture
- Hire, lead, mentor and coach web engineers so they grow in their skills and careers
- Build a culture of trust, ownership, innovation and purpose
- Collaborate with related engineering teams, product and business stakeholders to ensure the development of high-quality solutions in a timely manner

Requirements_**
- Previous experience of managing teams of high-performing software engineers
- Excellent understanding of software development principles and frontend patterns
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript and NodeJS ecosystem
- Experience working with one or more of the current popular frontend web libraries: ReactJS, AngularJS or Vue
- Experience in monitoring and fine-tuning systems for optimal performance and scalability
- Passion for improving code quality using approaches such as unit and end to end testing
- Quick learner with a problem-solving ability
- Get things done with can do attitude
- Proficient in written and spoken English
