**Purpose of the Job**:
Effectively control liquidity and funding risks in the Branch, whilst achieving cost-efficient funds operations to support business growth. Identify trends and proactively control interest rate and liquidity risk in the Branch through collaboration with business units to build an effective framework for liquidity management. Also responsible for understanding local regulations, assessing the impact and seeking solutions to ensure Branches adhere to regulatory requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Monitor and advise on the impacts of economic and regulatory changes.
- Advise management on potential financial opportunities and risks.
- Work in partnership with relevant business units to share best practice and deliver an integrated service for Balance Sheet Optimization and ensure Bank's Optimum Profit
- Collaborate with relevant business units to tackle balance sheet management issues and to comply with regulatory requirement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain funding gap and other risk related limits.
- Work in partnership with Product Offices to provide feedback on new products, support in leveraging their products and expertise as well as to maintain relationship for future business opportunities.
- Work in partnership with Branch Management to drive liquidity improvement strategies to improve the liquidity of the balance sheet.
- Support in managing the risk profile for the department by understanding the regulatory changes, monitor the Branch's liquidity and prepare recommendations to mitigate liquidity risk.
- Provide planning / administrative assistance to department on a regular and/or ad-hoc basis where necessary.
- Develop recommendations for continuous improvement and support any departmental project or initiatives implementation.
- Managing interest rate risk, NII sensitivity to ensure the balance sheets exposures are within bank's internal risk appetite
- Conduct Balance sheets simulations and profitability impact analysis
**Requirements**:
- Academic degree in Mathematics, Finance, Economics or other relevant field of study;
- Min. 8 years of corporate banking experience;
- Working experience in ALM, Treasury funding, or liquidity risk management;
- Sufficient knowledge and experience in market/liquidity risk management;
- Experience in preparing presentations to senior management and regulators;
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence others and sell solutions;
- Strong understanding of the regulatory environment with particular focus on the local liquidity regulations;
- Good understanding of Banking products and their risks;
- Fluent language skills in English;
- Team player and ability to work independently.
