The Role

We are seeking a Principal Solution Consultant who has a passion for showing customers a better way to solve their business challenges. As a Principal Solution Consultant, you will partner with AspenTech sales to lead in consultative discovery process with customers. You will craft a vision and roadmap of a solution that addresses customer requirements, identifying differentiated value, and providing an implementation/sustainment program for that solution. This involves maintaining a keen understanding of the AspenTech product strategy, value enablers, professional services and partner execution capabilities, and sales pipeline. Key goal being to drive opportunities where AspenTech solutions can bring significant business value to our customers.

This Principal Solution Consultant will provide consultative sales support for AspenTech's seismic interpretation software SeisEarth. They will need to understand customer challenges and industry drivers to build and justify business cases to secure client investment. In addition they will help to support the development of a vision and roadmap of a solution that addresses key customer requirements.

This is a customer-facing role that requires positive self-motivated individuals with strong business and technical knowledge, along with solid consultative and communication skills to position AspenTech solutions and services with our customers. International travel may be required to help drive opportunities across the Asia Pacific region.

Your Impact
- Provide customer-facing sales support by demonstrating expertise in seismic interpretation software, Aspen SeisEarth.
- Lead technical sales support for assigned opportunities to maximize product and services bookings.
- Facilitate customer understanding of geophysics solutions, impact on operations, and value creation.
- Deliver technical presentations and perform software demonstrations for customers as required.
- Work with sales team to plan for short, medium and long term activities, and develop commercial proposals for assigned opportunities.
- Proactively support Sales pipeline development (e.g. marketing, account planning, awareness sessions, etc.) and be responsible for sales execution (e.g. achieving technical win, establishing Sequence of Events) in the assigned accounts and opportunities.

What You'll Need
- M.Sc in Petroleum Geophysics / Geology
- At least 10 years' experience working at an international or national oil company, or service company, using seismic interpretation software for exploration or field development workflows (SeisEarth, Petrel, Decision Space, Kingdom)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including ability to make clear observations and conclusions based on customer engagements and data.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ever-present positive attitude.
- Intellectual curiosity, drive, resilience, and a balance of business and technology acumen.
- Experience presenting to and achieving buy-in from middle management.
- Ability to independently and cooperatively build pipeline and progress closed deals.
- A desire for lifelong learning, being continually on top of industry trends and advancements in geophysical interpretation techniques and software.
